Double cleanse your way to beautiful skin...

So I will be the first to admit that my skin is a temperamental teenage girl...sometimes even bordering on crazy baby mama attitude! I've tried numerous things to try and keep it in check but nothing seemed to work. Until I ran across this post at Cake Pie. It's all about why you should double cleanse your skin.

The concept is to basically wash it twice...once to get off the makeup and a second time to clean the skin. Seemed simple enough, right? And I had tried everything else so I figured why not give it a ago.

My cleanser of choice at the moment is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash from The Body Shop. I absolutely love this stuff! I've tried so many other expensive cleaners only to have them piss off my skin but once I started using the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash it was like it just magically told my skin to chill the hell out and be nice. And at $12 a bottle it's totally reasonably priced. So, yes I love it!

Statistically speaking "they" say you should spend two minutes washing your face. I know women, specifically moms, do not have that kind of time. So washing twice not only ensures that all the makeup is getting off but it also gives the skin a chance to be thoroughly cleaned.

Give it a shot! I swear you will love it!

Organize it! The Bathroom...

So how many of you have a ton of stuff that needs to live in the bathroom? And by "a ton of stuff" I don't mean like some towels and makeup and toilet paper...I mean like mass quantities of girlie stuff that would make the most understand man/boyfriend/partner/lap dog run screaming from the room.

Yes...that is me! I'd like to thank my mother because if it wasn't for her love of hoarding the latest and greatest beauty products when I was a child I would not be the woman I am today.

So in the spirit of getting organized and finding a place for everything in my life...including the numerous mascara tubes, wrinkle serums, face creams, eye shadow pallets and Birch Box samples (because you have to keep them all since you never know when you'll need one)...here are some logical and cute ways to get your girlie stuff under control...at least in the bathroom that is!

And I just had a brainstorm I wanted to share...

If you take some metal from your local hardware, cover it in cute contact paper, stick it to the inside of your bathroom cabinets, apply magnets to things...then just let the magic happen!

Yes, he is "that" pretty and "that" talented...

Girlies to love....

So yesterday I was wasting time on Pinterest...just as I do everyday about 2 o'clock and I stumbled on to one of the cutest fashion illustrations I've seen in a really long time. I mean this thing was frame worthy! Thankfully Pinterest had a link that took me straight to the artists Etsy page. Where I promptly fell in love and immediately wanted one of EVERYTHING!

Lovelies meet the talented Anum Tariq...

After loving everything on her Etsy page I found my way over to her blog where you can read about her journey.

I especially love the cute girls with full skirts and sunnies! I think I will definitely purchase those three and hang them in a trio in my office. So in love!

Check out the lovely and talented Anum....

Be Nice...

A proper lady always knows when to give a little something extra.

It's important to be hospitable and generous...we need to put kindness and proper etiquette back into the universe. Seriously....if no one sets a good example of proper manners for the younger generation then how else are they going to learn?

For me personally, I like to put that little extra bit out there....it lets someone else know you are thankful for what they are doing and it provides a good example for my daughter.

A while ago the screen in my car that tells me how many miles I can go...well it told me I could still go 13 miles before I ran out of gas. So I dropped the kid off at school and was heading in the direction of the nearest gas station. Well, that little computer...it lied! My car ran out of gas sort of next to and in front of a car garage. I had no idea what to do, I was half way on the sidewalk and my car wouldn't start.

Luckily...I live in a small town. I went to high school with the guy who runs the car garage. He was super generous and came right over and pushed my car up to the gas pump and pumped some gas for me. Did he have to do all that? No. Do they usually charge for an attendant to pump your gas? Yes. But, he didn't charge me for any of the service help...even when I tried to. He just smiled and told me to have a good day at work.

In return I showed up later that day with a box full of freshly made cookies from Whole Foods and a big fat "Thank you...you guys rock!"
